Or do you have narrower goals, such as trying to get an especially cluttered area clear, or a long neglected room less grimy? Get started today by downloading this spring cleaning checklist. Even though we dust our shutters weekly, spring is a great time to use a cleaner (or soap and water) to really clean your shutters or blinds on the windows. It gets rid of that little dark pile of dirt that sits in the corner. I clean the corners with a cotton swab and it helps so much (you can use a crevice tool, but I’ve found a cotton swab works just as well).

You are welcome to download my spring cleaning checklist (below) or if you are ready for a total overhaul, you can jump right into my whole-house declutter course. I can do a few things each day and pick up tomorrow where I left off. I like to use a checklist to keep myself on track. This is your home and you can go at your pace. Don’t overwhelm yourself or feel like you have to finish it all right now. My tip to declutter is is to take it one day at a time.

Sweep the sofa (I’ve never tried this tip, but I’ve heard sprinkling baking soda on before you vacuum it works well).Wipe down the ceiling fans with a damp cloth.
